Our seaside market has a locavore footprint of 150 klm radius.
We are allowed to draw stallholders from as far north as Burleigh Heads, as far west as Tenterfield and as far south as Scotts Head.
This is a Clarence Valley Council policy.
However the majority of our stall holders do come from within the Clarence Valley.
We are trying to do our little bit to help the planet!
We are a plastic bag free market so it is a good idea to bring your own carry bags.
Most of our stall holders do have paper carry bags available for you.
All our stall holders are compliant with our plastic free policy. Those stall holders who are using plastic or bio bags do so because it is a NSW Food Authority Standard.
WE DON’T usually have an ATM machine at our market.
Most of our stall holders use aSquare Reader however some don’t.
I know I am cute but I must be on a leash.
We are a very dog friendly market.
All dogs, cats and alpaccas, actually anything on four legs must be on a leash.
We have lots of little kids running around the market and we would rather be safe than sorry.
Please make sure you clean up after your pet.
PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING CLARENCE VALLEY COUNCIL RULES
dog not wearing a collar or tag $130
dog not on a leash $330
dog bites or harasses another dog or human $1320
failing to state your name and address to a ranger $330
not removing dog faeces $275
Our market venue is cocooned between a headland, the outgoing Clarence River and the ocean.
Weather conditions can change quickly.
Towards the end of the market it can get hot so be prepared for these conditions.
Please check socials for our WET WEATHER venue for our market at the Yamba Sports Complex on Angourie Road.
We will only move to our wet weather venue if it is consistent heavy rainfall and not just showers.
Signage will alert you to any changes on the day.
Our stallholders sell produce that is grown within the season and in our region.
Our produce is hand raised, pastured, ethical, sustainable, lovingly grown, house made and fresh baked.
Our role as a farmers and primary producers market is to educate our consumers food has its seasons.
Occasionally we do have a couple of guest stall holders who are allowed to bring produce not grown in our region and these stall holders are a speciality.
Our market is a safe and accessible place for:
parents with kids and prams
those with a disability
accessible access to all stallholders, toilets and carparks
elderly on scooters and walking frames
We ask whether you are a local or visitor you treat our farmers, producers and each other with the greatest respect at all times.
Many of our stall holders are up at 3am getting ready for our market and are on site by 6am preparing their stall for when you arrive.
We like our vibe as it is relaxed and chilled and we like to keep it that way.
Stay and relax with us for a while and enjoy the friendly atmosphere.
If you have a complaint please contact the market co-ordinator Debrah Novak M: 0402 404 606 or look for her on site at every market wearing the yellow flouro vest.
